The Journey of Consistency…

This past couple weeks have been a time of stretching and growth for me. I am not going to sit here and tell you that this part of my journey has been easy. This time has been a difficult time, but I will reflect on the lesson’s that I have learned through this experience of my life as I go through this chapter of my journey. I think that this is a very important tool to have as we go through things in this life. That what we go through and the challenges that we face are not a set back or should be a discouraging experience, but rather a time to explore the lesson learned in the experience. The most important lesson that I have learned in my life is to be consistent. This applies to all areas of my life. I believe that if you want results you must be consistent. Like working out, if you want muscles and to be in shape you must commit to being consistent at the gym. If you want a relationship to heal and become stronger, you must commit and be consistently working at it. I believe if you want to deepen your relationship with God and get to know Him more you must commit to consistently doing the things to get to know him better, Like talking to him, praying to him, worshipping him and most of all including him in every area of your life. When things are going good or bad we must consistently be thankful for all of the amazing blessings that he has given us. That is why I am so in love with Jesus; my Father. He is first of all so amazing. He amazes me everyday. From the things that He has created to his infinite love, Mercy and Grace. He has been the ONLY consistent thing in my life. He is the only one that has never left me and has never hurt me, but he has always been there for me, with out any conditions. He doesn’t say If you do this or that I will love you more…He just loves us like this. That is such an amazing thing if you really think about it. And I have the peace of knowing that He always will be there for me and never leave or forsake me. I think that is pretty awesome! His love has been consistent to me, even though I have made mistakes in my life. I am so thankful He doesn’t see me the way the world sees me, but rather sees me with an unconditional love that only my heavenly father could give me. Someone recently asked me, “How do you know God is real”? The thing that came to my mind was that I have seen the miracles that He has done in my life and the miracles He has done in my families lives. I believe because I have seen the great works that only he has begun and seen his constantly fatherly love towards me, his constant favor, feeling His Presence, and his consistent faith and hope that only a father could give. I am in a stage of my life where I have gotten to know Him more and I just want more and more of his amazing Love. His unconditional love. When you think with heavenly supernatural thoughts you realize that you are a child of the most high God. You are royalty. You are the head and not the tail. You are going above and not under. You are constantly on His mind. You are walking in His favor and Love. These promises that He has given me are the things that I build my life upon; these are the this that keep me living a fulfilled life everyday. It is a choice. I believe that if you wake up and set your mind in the right direction you will be able to train your thought to only reside in the positive. Believe and speak out his promises and things will begin to change. The whole atmosphere changes, I am not saying that you never will have a bad day, but if you do this the good will definitely out weigh the bad ones. Remember being consistent changes things. Thank you for listening to my thoughts, through my journey. I pray your journey is an amazing one and you are living to your full potential.

Hope, Strength, Courage & Love…

Hope, Strength, Courage & Love
If I start to think about writing what I am going to blog about too much I start over and over. So I usually have an idea or topic that I want to cover; but I just dive in and start writing, not over thinking the process.  This helps me to trick my mind. After all, these are “My thoughts through My Journey”.  It is no business of mine if people don’t like them or want to judge me; I still have the freedom to speak and this is my outlet to do so.  I fully surrender that and it is out of my control. My mind is going in a million directions right now. This past week I had to lay down some things in my life that I have been struggling with.  Actually struggling with them for many years.  Sometimes you come to a point and realize that enough is enough and some courage and hope arises inside of you and  for that moment you realize you are worth something and can overcome the demons holding you back.   This week I did just that. It has been quite a process.  Emotionally, Physically and Spiritually.  It has been quite an experience and will be an ongoing effort.  Sometimes you need to go through some hurt and pain to stretch you to a new place and be present in the moment. To just really “feel” and understand what you are “feeling”.  I am not going to go into detail about my struggles until I am stronger, later in my journey I will be able to help others dealing with the same or similar issues.  Some people may even think that what I was struggling with wasn’t a problem.  But it was for me because it was limiting and blocking me from my full potential.  For me, it has been more of a journey of trusting and keeping the spark of hope in my heart.  Thankfully I have never lost that spark and it terrifies me to think that people have lost their hope.  I pray that God would continue to allow those people to come into my life to uplift, encourage and unconditionally love  them; maybe sparking that hope in their heart once again. I think reaching out and communicating what we are going through is part of the healing process and it feels really cleansing.  Today I continue on my journey and walk in Hope, Strength, Courage and Love.

Many Blessings,

My Journey Continues…

Thank you all for following and reading my blog. It really means alot to me. It gives me a chance to stay connected with you and keep you posted on all that I am doing personally in my career as well as what is going on with “The Wil2Liv Project”! I have been working on many different shows. I got booked on a pilot called, “Elementary”, “Blue Bloods”, and “Gossip Girl” and a few others. It has been such an amazing last couple months. I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I LOVE. I never take that for granite. Once I am finished with a project I am back out there auditioning and hoping to get booked on another project.  It does take a lot of work to continue working in the Entertainment business, but as much as I love it; it is a business.  I will continue to give my all to pursuing my passion and dreams. No looking back now!  I am blessed with the amazing people in my life that encourage me and support me in my journey.  I thank God for loving me so unconditionally and constantly reminding me He is there with me and will never leave me.

As for “The Wil2Liv Project” we have been working with other amazing organizations on their projects as well as some of our own.  We will continue to work along side these organizations that have the same visions that “The Wil2Liv Project” has.  We are still raising funds to complete our mission trip to Africa this year.  Our goal to cover expenses with our team is $10,000.  If you feel led to donate to our vision and support “The Wil2Liv Project” you can do so on any page of this site of if you would like to support any other of our projects throughout the year that would be appreciated!  Thank you to the people that have already supported our projects throughout the year!  We do appreciate your support and it is much needed to continue on touching lives in the United States and across the world! It is very exciting!

Once again, Thank you all for your support and love.  If you feel it in your heart this week, do a random act of kindness.  It goes farther than you may think!  We all have the ability to change lives.  Even if it is one person at a time! Never underestimate the power of your voice and your example of LOVE.

Many Blessings,
DaWayne Costello

Matthew 25:21“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ ”

“Refining my emotional intelligence…”

So today has been a really great day! I hope and pray it was great for you too!   Today I came across a couple of writings that are really awesome and so I am going to log them in my blog so I never forget!  The first is my new mantra.  I thought I’d share it with you…I hope it means something to you and makes you think, as it did to me.

“Push hard to get better, become smarter, grow your devotion to the truth, fuel your commitment to beauty, refine your emotional intelligence, hone your dreams, negotiate with your shadow, cure your ignorance, shed your pettiness, heighten your drive to look for the best in people, and soften your heart; even as you always accept yourself for exactly who you are with all of your so-called imperfections”.

This was so powerful and I really love everything it says. I will keep this one close to me for a very long time.  It really describes how I feel about my life and where I am in this Journey.

The second is a story about a teacher who is trying to convey to our youth how important it is to refrain from bullying and the lifelong effects that it has on ourselves and the victims.  I hope you enjoy it and get the message of  NOH8.

A teacher in Newfoundland was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up but not to rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty is was. She then told them to tell it they’re sorry. Now, even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they had left behind and that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bully’s another child. They may say they’re sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home.

Thank you for reading my blog and I look forward to the next one!

“Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.”

Hello Everyone!  It has been a while since I’ve updated my blog and alot has been happening with me so I thought I’d share.  First of all, I cannot believe that it is November!  The crisp cool air is pushing through as the season’s change.  I personally love this time of year!  For the past six months I have had the opportunity to work from both New York and Los Angeles.  I really love being bi-coastal!  It has been great to be near the family and my friends.  Although, I am missing New York at my favorite season, FALL!  I have gotten to attend alot of great events in Los Angeles.  I went to the Malibu Film Festival, Fashion Cares Event as well as the Beverly Hills Film Festival.  It has been really great to be out at these events and networking and meeting other people in the Entertainment Industry.  Right now, I am working on my full-service design company.  Things are going well and I am excited to see where this is going to take me in the future.  I am still doing some modeling and acting projects as well.  The arts will always be a part of me and will be one of my passions along with the other projects that I am working on.  I am building my empire and love that I can do many things!  I am also working on the Wil2Liv Project.  The Wil2Liv Project is designed for children and adults living with AIDS.  I believe that it is important that we instill the Love and Hope to them and show them the tools to function in Society and have a fulfilled life!  Also a place to educate them as well as family members dealing with a loved one with this disease.  I will post information on some upcoming fundraisers that I am planning in the near future.  I am really excited about this project and would love some of your support!  I am also doing some work with the Human Rights Campaign & AIDS Project LA.  Two amazing groups that I support 100%.  I will keep you posted on that as well! Thank you all for reading my posts and I look forward to updating this blog more!  Keep in touch and if you would like to shoot me an email you can find my email address on the contact page.

Thank you and many Blessings & Favour!
