The Journey of Consistency…
This past couple weeks have been a time of stretching and growth for me. I am not going to sit here and tell you that this part of my journey has been easy. This time has been a difficult time, but I will reflect on the lesson’s that I have learned through this experience of my life as I go through this chapter of my journey. I think that this is a very important tool to have as we go through things in this life. That what we go through and the challenges that we face are not a set back or should be a discouraging experience, but rather a time to explore the lesson learned in the experience. The most important lesson that I have learned in my life is to be consistent. This applies to all areas of my life. I believe that if you want results you must be consistent. Like working out, if you want muscles and to be in shape you must commit to being consistent at the gym. If you want a relationship to heal and become stronger, you must commit and be consistently working at it. I believe if you want to deepen your relationship with God and get to know Him more you must commit to consistently doing the things to get to know him better, Like talking to him, praying to him, worshipping him and most of all including him in every area of your life. When things are going good or bad we must consistently be thankful for all of the amazing blessings that he has given us. That is why I am so in love with Jesus; my Father. He is first of all so amazing. He amazes me everyday. From the things that He has created to his infinite love, Mercy and Grace. He has been the ONLY consistent thing in my life. He is the only one that has never left me and has never hurt me, but he has always been there for me, with out any conditions. He doesn’t say If you do this or that I will love you more…He just loves us like this. That is such an amazing thing if you really think about it. And I have the peace of knowing that He always will be there for me and never leave or forsake me. I think that is pretty awesome! His love has been consistent to me, even though I have made mistakes in my life. I am so thankful He doesn’t see me the way the world sees me, but rather sees me with an unconditional love that only my heavenly father could give me. Someone recently asked me, “How do you know God is real”? The thing that came to my mind was that I have seen the miracles that He has done in my life and the miracles He has done in my families lives. I believe because I have seen the great works that only he has begun and seen his constantly fatherly love towards me, his constant favor, feeling His Presence, and his consistent faith and hope that only a father could give. I am in a stage of my life where I have gotten to know Him more and I just want more and more of his amazing Love. His unconditional love. When you think with heavenly supernatural thoughts you realize that you are a child of the most high God. You are royalty. You are the head and not the tail. You are going above and not under. You are constantly on His mind. You are walking in His favor and Love. These promises that He has given me are the things that I build my life upon; these are the this that keep me living a fulfilled life everyday. It is a choice. I believe that if you wake up and set your mind in the right direction you will be able to train your thought to only reside in the positive. Believe and speak out his promises and things will begin to change. The whole atmosphere changes, I am not saying that you never will have a bad day, but if you do this the good will definitely out weigh the bad ones. Remember being consistent changes things. Thank you for listening to my thoughts, through my journey. I pray your journey is an amazing one and you are living to your full potential.
With Peace & Love,
DaWayne Costello
